First firing with new elements successful.

Our first firing with new elements installed in the kiln was a bisque firing and it went perfectly! It even took less time than it had been taking. New elements made the kiln more efficient and helped get things done faster. I’m going to continue working my way through the backlog of greenware (things that haven’t been fired yet and are delicate). Once they’ve been fired once they’re bisqueware and then can safely be stacked and moved and handled before glaze is applied and a final glaze firing happens. I did end up breaking a few things before I could get them into the kiln, so we lost a little bit, but overall I’m calling this a win!
